The Club Information Meeting is on Tuesday, August 30 in the MPR during lunch and is mandatory for all students who want to register or re-register clubs.
“All clubs, new and old, need to attend the Club Information Meeting this Tuesday, where they will be given a Club Registration Packet,” Clubs Commissioner Vignesh Iyer (Sr.) said. “The Registration Packet will contain all the information on what the students need to get signed and the forms that they will need to participate in [club] events.”
Registration Packets will be due Wednesday, September 6th. ASB advises that students not procrastinate obtaining all of the signatures on the forms for the registration of their clubs.
There will be a mandatory online portion of the form in addition to the physical packet. The online form will cover most of the clerical information for Club Registration while the physical forms will cover necessary signatures.
Authorization forms, check request forms and fundraising forms will be available during the meeting. It is mandatory for Club Presidents to attend this meeting.
A subsequent Club Accounting meeting required for Club Treasurers and suggested for Club Presidents will be held at a later date.
“The only advice I would give is to tell them not to be afraid to start a club… There is such a variety of people in Uni, including people whose interests haven’t been sparked yet, but clubs give them the opportunity to [spark their interests],” Iyer said. “Although the process may seem long and taxing, it is definitely worth it.”
