Observing: a poem

Getting stressful with homework and education
Need a break from these frustrations
Getting ready to step outside
To find a way not to hide
Stepping outside to the unknown
Among many strangers, and you’re alone
People rushing, shouting, and fighting
Not the best place for you to call “exciting”
During your walk, you observe
Discover what you really deserve
See what you can see from them
And think what you can differ from them
Not everybody is welcoming
Nor very gracious in helping
You, as an individual, must survive this world
To get to the point where you are safe in this world
Some react pleasantly in a situation
Some react differently: with anger
It’s up to you if you want to choose between the choices given to you
But no matter what your choices are, you have to break through
