Author’s Note: The following poem is a parody of an English folk verse called “The Fifth of November” about Guy Fawkes’ foiled attempt to blow up England’s House of Parliament on November 5, 1605. You can read the original poem here: http://www.potw.org/archive/potw405.html
Remember, remember!
The eighth of November,
The Russian treason and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Russian treason
Should ever be forgot!
Donald Trump and his companions
Did the scheme contrive
To rig the 2016 election
And about it lie.
Russian hackers, on the down-low,
To prove old America’s overthrow.
But, by Mueller’s investigation, him they catch,
With Russian oligarchs, laundering cash!
