New restaurants coming soon to the UCI Center

Home S&S Arts and Entertainment New restaurants coming soon to the UCI Center

Getting tired of going to the same old places for lunch everyday? Well, you are in luck. University Town Center (UCI Center) will be opening up some new restaurants for you to go to during lunch, including Chipotle, Tender Greens and Chick-fil-A, which will be opening this fall.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Chipotle menu, the restaurant serves basic Mexican entrees with a “build-your-own” style setup. Customers can choose from the selection of beans, rice, corn, peppers, salsas, lettuce, cheese, sour cream and guacamole to put into your order (adding guacamole costs an extra $1.25). Generally speaking, Chipotle is great place to eat if you want fast food for only $5-$10.

Tender Greens on the other hand is a little pricier, but students can eat a fresh gourmet salad only a walking distance away from University High School (UHS). Their menu consists of a variety of salads and some sides like paninis, sandwiches and soups. Customers can order any type of salad, ranging from a Mediterranean spinach salad with their choice of topping to a Chinese chicken salad. Like Chipotle, their service is relatively fast. If you are looking to eat at Tender Greens, be ready to spend around $5-$15 depending on what you order.

Chick-fil-A sells a wide range of different types of food, from classic burgers to wraps, salads and soft served ice cream. Their breakfast menu consists of bacon, egg and cheese biscuits and a chicken breakfast burrito with hash browns. Chick-fil-A is a great place to go for customers who are looking for a restaurant that is quick and cheap.

These restaurants will be convenient to go to before school, during lunch or after school, opening up just blocks away from UHS.
