Kevin Lee (Sr.) and Jiho (Jason) Park (Sr.) placed as semifinalists in the Intel Science Talent Search. Over 1,700 entrants from around the world applied with only 100 selected as Semifinalists.
The Intel Science Talent Search is a national competition that recognizes student accomplishments in science, technology and math. Intel STS alumni have achieved some of the world’s most prestigious honors such as the MacArthur Foundation “Genius” grant and the Nobel Prize.
Forty Finalists will be announced on January 22nd. They will travel to Washington, DC and present their research projects to Intel judges in hopes of winning the grand prize: $100,000 dollars.
Lee said, “I wasn’t really expecting anything and was pleasantly surprised when I saw my name. I’m very honored to be named a semifinalist.
