By MARCELLA DECOUD
the leaves are falling.
These majestic autumn leaves
of copper, gold, and orange
are carried in the dulling breeze of October.
Crisp and crunchy,
but silent as they tumble down
and come to rest on the ground.
They lie beneath the trees
without a care,
carpeting the ground freely.
They soar and twist within the air,
until the beautiful trees become empty and bare,
until they are covered by a
layer of snow.
And the season of ice, gifts, and hot cocoa,
The trees leaving reminding hints.
