As the sun rises, as it kisses the horizon

As the clouds awaken and outstretch their labored arms

The milkweed grows and bathes in the iridescence

And the grassy field dances in the breeze

The fresh breeze that carries laughter and youth

While hours pass and the night draws nearer

The insects chirp and light a minuscule path in the thick darkening of the night

And the sun that once rose and kissed the horizon

Soon falls, departing all its

Glory
