The Hundred Man Army: a poem

“Hey little bro, you may never see me again.”

You’re growing older,

Stronger,

Better than I will ever be.

I’m giving you all the things you’ll need.

To see new places,

And achieve greater things.

My final request little bro,

Stay safe as I leave into the light.

Afterall, it won’t be long until we all must take flight.

If you forget me,

Know I’ll always remember you.

I’ll stay by your side,

I know the world is cold.

You’ll grow apart from me-

I already know.

But remember,

When you think you’re alone…

I love you more strongly than a hundred man army .

“You’ll take more risks, try new things.”

See new places,

You have become better than I ever could.

I’ll give you all the chances in the world,

Although I’ll be gone.

If you forget me,

I’ll always remember you.

I’ll stay by your side,

Until the end of time.

I know the world is cruel.

You’ll grow apart from me-

I already know.

When you think you’re alone…

Just remember my words.

I love you more strongly than a hundred man army.

So as the world might change,

I’ll be there when you fall,

Ready to pick you back up again.

You’ll always be my little brother,

No matter what you say.

“I’ll love you more and more each passing day.”

If you forget me, I’ll always remember you.

I’ll stay by your side,

Until the end of time.

You’ll grow apart from me,

I already know.

As you get stronger-

Just remember.

I will always love you more strongly than a hundred man army.

I love you, little bro.

I love you more strongly…

Than a hundred man army.”
