Those who died yesterday desperately yearn for your wasted today.
Time lost to meaningless thoughts
Slips through your hands,
Like water it could carry ships,
But you let it flow away.
Don’t wait for a missed opportunity to return,
Make it happen,
Like they say, carpe diem,
SEIZE THE DAY,
Never stop and never cease.
Let the blood, sweat, and tears fall,
The floodgates are wide open,
And drip by drip,
And day by day,
Your time will come,
But you won’t yearn for a wasted today.
You will welcome Death at your door,
And he will give your final reward
Of an eternal rest.
