The Art of Swimming By: a poem

Staff Writer

It’s so easy to get lost in the sea of students.

There’s no real rhyme or reason

Like the flow of a river,

And those treacherous waves won’t wait

For the slow, easing tortoise.

The first step is to follow the leader,

Who makes it part like the Red Sea,

But as she is leaving,

Find all the gaps and crevices.

Then when the waves finally settle,

You will find yourself on a lonely path,

The road less traveled.

As you float into your destination,

The shores will wash you up,

But you won’t be stranded on a deserted island

(Just some class that makes you feel like you are lost).
