Girls Volleyball lose match up against San Clemente

nGirls Volleyball lost 4-1 against the San Clemente Tritons on September 10th.
Despite the defeat, the team was able to secure a point in the first round and had a convincing defense.
“ In our first match, our passing was really good and we ran different offensive strategies… our energy was really good” said junior Karla Buitrago-Yepes when reflecting what the team succeeded in.
Buitrago-Yepes hit 3 kills against San Clemente, helping secure their first round win. 
Despite their strong first round, the team faltered in the following 3 rounds.
“ Overall, we could have tried to lessen our peaks and valleys in terms of how we are playing. Specifically, we should try to maintain a steady momentum in our next game” junior Victoria Holmie said
Holmie contributed 8 kills throughout the match.
With this defeat in mind, the team is looking to learn from their mistakes.
“ Our team could improve on certain defensive and offensive skills” junior Kiana Zaraghalami commented. 
Zaraghalami assisted the team with 7 digs.
Looking to learn from this loss and make their comeback, Girls Volleyball will be playing against Northwood on September 18.
