Boys Volleyball went against 4 teams in their inaugural tournament at Tesoro High School, winning one match, and losing three.
Though the results did not turn out as well as they wanted, the team still feels good with the way they performed.
“We played hard, made a few errors but had nothing to lose and tried our hardest, and we will continue to work our hardest,” junior Jozef Lingenfelter said.
In their match against JSerra, one of the top teams in the league, the team held their own and put up a strong defense, ultimately beating their tough opponent.
“I think we played really well considering our season last year, so I was pretty happy we won against a school as good as JSerra,” junior Thomas Nguyen said.
Also, the team also felt content with the outcome of the Tesoro Tournament, as it was their first real match playing with new Varsity players.
“We played tough against all the teams, despite having a new team and new players… we were able to play the best we could” junior James Rodriguez said.
With this in mind, the team weathers this disappointing loss with a plan to get back up and succeed.
“Coming out from this, we will work hard and make adjustments, and will probably get a good season for us” Rodriguez said.
Following this, boys volleyball will proceed to dface future opponents, hoping to redfin their team composition and fluidity.
