It’s interminably dark, damp, a dungeon,
Suffocating, layers of boredom,
Scattered papers, paper upon papers,
A distant cry, oxygen is somewhere.
Looking for me, festering idiocy,
No one in sight, never-ending night,
My wide eyes, widening shut, I stare
Flickered sunlight, light beyond lights
Revitalizing, dances of stardom
It’s freshly bright, brilliant, a beginning.
