Wrestling finishes season against Irvine

The University High School wrestling team finished its season on Wednesday, January 29 in a game against Irvine High School. The Trojans lost 45-22. Kian Ross (So.) won in the 106 weight class by a score of 12-3. Joseph Lai (Jr.) and captain Clay Hess (Sr.) won by pins in the 120 pound weight class and 183 weight class, respectively. John Farah (Jr.) had a pin in the heavyweight division.
Farah said, “It was a pretty good season, but the hardest part is that it’s over and we are going to miss one of the best classes we ever had in wrestling and their dedication to wrestling. Overall, it was fun wrestling and working hard.”
This was the last season meet for the wrestling team. On Saturday, February 8, they competed in league finals at Irvine High School.
