Hi! My name is Kortney Maeda, and I'm one of the Photos and Graphics editors this year. I've always loved photography and joined the Sword & Shield my sophomore year as a staff photographer. Being a photographer has been the single most rewarding experience of high school as it has pushed me out of my comfort zone to attend school events, challenge myself artistically, and connect with others. My favorite part about the Sword & Shield has to be all the people I've met and gotten the chance to work with. Besides photography, I love creating art in all of its forms, experimenting with film photography, learning about the environment, and reading mystery books.
