On March 14, 15 and 16, twenty-one UHS MUN students participated in UC Berkeley’s 62nd Annual Model United Nations Conference. For over 60 years, Berkeley MUN has invited high school and college students from all around the USA and Canada to participate in a weekend of debate and diplomacy.
“Berkeley MUN was, by far, one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to represent University High School,” says 2-year MUN member Megha Torpunuri (So.). “The conference itself enriched my overall MUN experience by forcing me to step up my debating and researching skills. In the words of the great Kanye West: ‘Everyone wanted to know what we’d do if we didn’t win. But we’ll never know.’ The UHS delegation gave it our all, and the results definitely showed.”
17 of the hardworking delegates earned awards, and UHS MUN as a whole won the prestigious Best Club Delegation Award, which is given to the highest placing clubs at the conference.
Be sure to congratulate the BMUN62 UHS MUN delegation:
