The Trojans kicked off the first Pacific Coast League game of the season tonight, October 11, against Woodbridge High School (WHS). The Trojans started off strong, scoring a touchdown within the first two minutes of the first half to take a 7-0 lead. Unfortunately for UHS, the Trojans soon lost their momentum, and the WHS Warriors piled on 51 unanswered points. With play winding down in the fourth, quarterback Neil Boudreau (So.) completed a fantastic 20 yard pass on a fade route run by wide receiver Omar Diab (Sr.) for a touchdown despite a pass interference penalty committed by the defense. The spectacular play, easily one of the best of the season, was one of the lone bright spots in game that concluded with a final score of 51-14 in favor of WHS.
