Girls Varsity Tennis defeated Beckman High School 11-7 on Tuesday, October 11.
UHS won one match, and also lost one match. Despite the minor setback, UHS won overall. Although Beckman proved to be a challenge, the Trojans still played hard in every game.
“The team pulled off a good match and everyone was fighting for every point.” Vicki Li (Sr.) said.
In addition to the difficult opponent, the lineups for the games were switched for that day. Because of this, UHS had to adapt to the changes.
“I thought the team played well but really think we can definitely step up our game,” Ashlyn Wang (Sr.) said. “All the teams in PCL this year are good, so every team is a challenge, and everyone has to work 100% in every single match because every game counts this year.”
Girls Tennis is looking forward to continue with a strong season to reclaim the CIF title.
