In this busy, bumbling world we live,
there lies a kingdom of life’s greatest wonders:
the city of Paris in its state of extravagance.
Bustling corners lead to a snake of corridors,
each path crowned with pinnacles so fair.
Enter the gates of this eternal paradise,
and gaze upon all while perched on a balcony.
Look over the city and its monuments of beauty;
the bright pink blush of sunset paints the sky
as doves flit and float above Eiffel Tower.
Time runs slowly, and darkness takes over
an evening party as Paris sings laughter.
The people dance under the moonlight,
casting shadows on hushed Versailles,
and soft whispers drift past twilight.
Painters and peddlers flood the village,
as thinkers capture their timeless beauty.
Children, elders, other loved ones scatter
and then join together to share lost tales
while the stars blaze and the moon pales.
Paris is truly a city of kindred spirits.
