Varsity Girls Basketball won 51-31 against Katella High School on December 6, bringing their overall season record to 4-2.
Kaci Blailock (Sr.) lead the team by scoring a total of 20 points. This brought the team to a greater lead, and allowed more subs in.
“It was a great victory, but during that game, it was harder to focus on the ball and plays,” Karissa Shin (Jr.) said, “[due to the] loss of one of my great friends.”
Despite this tragic event, the girls were able to support each other, build up spirit, and concentrate better on the game. “Everyone basically lifted each others spirit,” Shin said.
The girls will be competing against numerous teams in the Tesoro Tournament from December 12 to 17.
