#25 Brad Huber (Sr.) and #21 Matt Abellaneda (So.) team up to break up a long CDM pass attempt.
The Trojans played their Homecoming football game against the visiting Corona del Mar (CDM) Sea Kings on October 25. University High School (UHS) lost 35-3 to the top ranking Sea Kings. At halftime, the score was 21-3. Rio Gibson (So.) of the Trojans scored a field goal in the second quarter set up by a pass play from Neil Boudreau (So.) to tight end Andrew Montoya (Sr.).
Just before halftime, the Sea Kings blocked a field goal attempt and returned it for a touchdown, extending their lead to 21-3. Even though the Trojans gave up 35 points to CDM’s offense, Parker Dickey (Jr.) played well with two interceptions. The Trojans were unable to score in the second half and were disappointed about losing their last home game of the season to CDM.
UHS plays Northwood High School (NHS) next Friday, October 8 at Irvine Stadium.
