If you have the fortune to stumble upon
a poem about love
an old man with wisdom
And are able to see the beauty around
a sprout at the corner of a shrub
a beam of sunlight across your desk
And finally, to gain a personal understanding of
a sheet of music
a painting on the wall
Who says you are not an alchemist?
For you can give any object on Earth its own value and meaning
with your eyes filled with appreciation
and your heart roots deep with love.
