Boys Varsity Volleyball lost 3-0 to Corona del Mar last Tuesday, April 25. With the loss, the Trojans move to 3-5 on the season.
The closest set was scored 25-20, and the Trojans struggled to score higher than 15. They did score 18 points in another set, but never quite matched the 20 mark. CdM’s height gave them a big advantage, as they got plenty of blocks and spikes with their long reach.
This is the second and last time the Trojans play the Sea Kings this season; they are yet to win a set against them, however, as they have lost both games 3-0.
The Sea Kings have not lost a game all season, and are 8-0 in league currently. Of those eight games, they have won seven of them without dropping a set.
The team is still focusing on their improvements. Christian Beltran (Jr.) said, “We played well against CdM even though we lost and we are constantly improving.”
The Trojans now look ahead to their final two games in league, a road game against Irvine on Friday, April 25, and a home game against rivals Woodbridge on Tuesday, May 2.
