One of the many newly opened restaurants, featured in the Oak Creek Shopping, is I Can Barbecue. I went there on a Saturday with a reservation, which most Korean barbecue restaurants do not provide. It was not necessary, however, as there was no line and plenty of tables. I Can Barbecue is an all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue restaurant with a wide variety of meats, seafood and soups. Some unique menu items on their menu are cow tongue and Korean soft tofu soup.
Because it is an all-you-can-eat restaurant, we were able to order as many items as we wanted for $25 per person. We started off with two plates of the Thinly Sliced Brisket, two plates of the Cow Tongue, and two plates of the Black Angus Choice Chuck Eye Steak. I was amazed at the quality of the meat. Even when there was barely any fat on the meat, it was very tender, melting in my mouth. This contrasted the thinly sliced Brisket served at other Korean barbecue restaurants, as they often serve lower quality meats with a lot of fat. The Black Angus Choice Chuck Eye Steak was thick, but was not hard to chew or cut, while the cow tongue was tender and more delicate. After dipping it in the house sauce and hot sauce, we wrapped the meat in the rice papers that it came with. As for the seafood items, we ordered baby squid and mussels. The mussels were juicy and tender. Dipping the mussels and baby squid in pepper paste made it even better.
We ended our course with Korean soft tofu soup, which consisted of soybean paste and steamed egg. The last item ordered was cinnamon tea, which was sweet and refreshing, and cleared our palates from the dinner we ate.
The bill came out to be $125 for five people-$25 for each. This was a good price considering the quality and the number of items we ordered, so I was very satisfied. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a high-quality all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue restaurant that is worth the price.
