Boys Basketball beat Woodbridge by a score of 77-73 on January 11. The victory took place on Woodbridge’s home court and was the team’s first season win.
Team captain and senior Brandon Liu reflected on how the game’s environment affected the team’s play overall.
It was a very close game. I would like to thank our fans that came to the game. Even though it was an away game, I could barely tell due to how loud our side was,” Liu said.
Junior Saman Hedayat Far also shared similar ideas with Brandon, explaining how his team got to go back home with a win.
“The Woodbridge game was a lot of fun. We had a lot of support and we were able to get the win. However, there is still a lot of things we need to work on to be a good basketball team. It was still great that we pulled through at the end of that game,” Far added.
Junior Arjun Gill also spoke highly of the team’s motivation and increasing momentum.
“Winning isn’t easy, it requires persistence and determination. I’m glad that we got the win as a team and I’m looking forward to playing more games,” Gill said.
The team’s next game will be on Tuesday the 15, against Beckman.
