Boys Baseball falls in Senior Day game

Having lost to Irvine by a score of 2-0 in the final game of the season, the Trojans end up finishing in last place in league behind Irvine.

With Thursday’s game marking the last game of baseball for the Trojans, it was also the team’s senior day festivities. Before the game the team honored its three graduating seniors. The team originally starting the season with seven seniors lost the majority of them to academic probation.

Farbod Markazi (Sr.) was the only senior who was in the dugout during the game, having pitched in Tuesday’s loss to Irvine.

When asked what he would miss most, Markazi said, “I’ll miss the group of guys we have.”

David Schlomovitz (Jr.) got the nod to start in the final game of the season and would pitched five shutout innings up until the 6th where the Vaqueros would score on a two run home run.

The runs scored on the home run would be the only scored in the game and would be the winning hit for Irvine, as the Trojans get shutout.

Although the boys in blue didn’t get the finish they were expecting, the rest and off season is expected to do the team good. The next season, having finished 2-13 in this one, is to be thought of as the best chance for the program to capture a league title within the next 3 years. Boys baseball is to return all starters and hope to bounce back from the untimely events that took place during this season.
