Girls Golf defeated Irvine High School by a sizable margin of 194-242 on September 4th.
“We’ve been focused and working hard with the help of our new coach, Coach Bock,” Co-Captain and senior Alexis Kim said, “We played well but have the potential to do even better if we continue working on our short game.”
The team has won CIF for the past two years and looks to continue this tradition.
“I know we have what it takes to win Pacific Coast League again and [we] look forward to defending our CIF title” Kim said.
Even with these successes, the girls are always striving to become better and better as evidenced by their work ethic and time they put in every day at practice.
“We practice every day for close to 2 hours and most of us practice outside of regular practices as well,” junior Claire Choi said, “I can’t wait to see where our team goes this season.”
The team looks to build off this momentum at their next game which is scheduled for September 16th against Portola High School at Strawberry Farms.
