University High School Girls Basketball lost to Crean Lutheran High School in a non-league game this past Tuesday, December 10th, ending in a score of 62-34.
This was the team’s tenth game leaving them with a record of 4-6. They are currently fifth place in the Pacific Coast League, behind Woodbridge High School and Portola High School going into league.
“Although we lost, I feel like our team improves every game and that’s what’s really important. I see a bright future for us in league” said Senior Aryn Press.
Crean managed to strike first, winning the tip off at the beginning of the game and then ending the first quarter with a score of 4-22. The third quarter ended with a score of 24-51, as UHS attempted to make a strong comeback. Ultimately, however, Crean managed to remain on top.
Girl’s Basketball League will begin on January 7th, starting off with an away game versus Northwood High School.
