The University High School boys lacrosse team faced off against the Corona Del Mar High School (CDM) Sea Kings on Wednesday, March 12th. It was a friendly non-league game for both teams. The Trojans came into the 2014 season after more than 10 seniors had graduated the previous year. Unfortunately the lack of experience of the new team showed as the Trojans lost to the powerhouse Sea Kings 19-1. The Sea Kings are one of the best lacrosse teams in California and the Trojans put up a hard fight.
Baeksun Kim (Jr.) said, “We played hard against CDM and got some good scoring opportunities on them. We were able to capitalize on at least one. We still need to look towards the league games that actually count. We will continue to practice and work hard to achieve our season goals.”
Brian Cook (Sr.) scored the lone goal for the Trojans in the 2nd quarter.
The Trojans will face San Juan Hills High School next Monday at 5:30 at the University Stadium.
