On Tuesday, September 9th, our Trojan’s girls tennis team defeated the Capistrano Valley Cougars 13-5 in its second preseason match.
University High School’s highly ranked girls tennis team continues to perform extremely well. Its victory against the Cougars, along with last week’s win against Rancho Santa Margarita High School, brings the team to a 2-0 record. The Trojans are looking forward to a promising season ahead.
Kayti Luu (Sr.) said, “The team has so many talented players this year that our advantage is the depth of our team.”
Luu adds that this win demonstrated the success of the new doubles pairings of Luu and Judy Kam (Jr.), Michelle Maddox (Jr.) and Kyara Sutton (Sr.) and Anja Seng (Jr.) and Ashlyn Wang (So.).
The Trojans will take on Fountain Valley High School on September 11th at home in what promises to be a tough but exciting match.
