On Thursday, September 25, the University High School girls golf team defeated Northwood High School at Strawberry Farms 215-199.
The Trojans made a strong comeback after losing to Beckman High School last Thursday. Susan Lee (Jr.) and Samantha Cabunag (Fr.) both scored 39, the lowest number of strokes in the match. Mina Rhee (Jr.) was a close second with 40 strokes, helping the girls secure the victory. She was extremely happy with the team’s performance and said, “We all played pretty well, and we’re happy that we won!” Kara Sun (Jr.) was also proud of the team’s strong effort and said, “Overall, the team all did really well.”
The girls golf team is 4-2 in season. The Trojans will face Irvine High School next Tuesday, September 30 at Strawberry Farms.
