A coyote is a dog
who doesn’t have a name.
He doesn’t have a home
among the beasts that tame.
He lives the way he has
for years and years before.
The ropes around his
neck are untied forever more.
The sun will set upon
the hills where he roams free.
And then will rise the beasts
of uniform and greed.
In his land he will hide
and scrounge the ground for food
until the taming beasts
have silenced him for good.
