On Tuesday October 7, the University High School (UHS) girls tennis team played a league match at home against Northwood High School (NHS). The girls came out strong and dominated NHS with a score of 14-4, remaining undefeated in season.
Kyara Sutton (Sr.) said, “We are off to a great start. The girls are really working hard and we are currently undefeated 10-0. This year our team is a lot closer and we are all working really well together and encouraging each other.” The Trojans’ positive attitudes and hard work are evident through their winning streak.
The girls tennis team is currently number one in Orange County. The Trojans captured their 45th Pacific League match with the victory over NHS, and plan to continue this streak. The team hopes to capture the California Interscholastic Federation title this year to solidify its success.
The team’s next game is at home on Tuesday, October 14 against Woodbridge High School.
