To be a mentor is to be a guide
Through a dark path
And into the light
To be a mentor is to have faith
That bad things will end
And good things will come
To be a mentor is to remember
The past when your were not as wise
And learn from your mistakes
To be a mentor is to look forward
To a time when you are no longer needed
And let go
To be a mentor is to do all of these things
And more
For a person you love
