There was once a brave man who wanted to make his life worthwhile
He had bright, bold blue eyes and a backbone of steel
The man went off the war to serve his country
He left his family and friends, but he knew it was for a better cause
But things were different at the military camp
He wasn’t used to seeing all the unfamiliar faces.
But the war had ended, and they had won
When the man came home, no one was there to greet him
They all thought he had died during the war
Now he doesn’t know what to do, the war was his life
The man didn’t know anything but the war
So now, the man sits there on a crate,
Staring at the world with those bright, bold blue eyes.
