The University High School boys lacrosse team faced off against the Woodbridge High School Warriors on Monday, March 24. This was the first league game for the Trojans, who maintained a 2-2 record in preseason play. The Trojans came out strong and matched the Warriors with their skill, keeping the game at a 2-2 tie by the end of the first quarter. By the end of the half, the Trojans still remained locked in a tie at 3-3.
Coming out of halftime, the Warriors seemed to up their intensity and the Trojans fought to keep it close. However, the Warriors pulled away in the third and fourth quarters. The Trojans ended up falling to the Warriors 17-7.
Baeksun Kim (Jr.) said after the game, “We played well, as we kept it close for the first half, but ran out of gas the rest of the game. We just need to go back to practice hungrier and better conditioned for games like these.”
