On Thursday, September 23, the University High School (UHS) girls varsity tennis team secured a victory over rival Los Alamitos High School with a score of 12-6. The Trojans, currently ranked #1 in Orange County, remain undefeated 5-0 in season.
Captain Yuki Asami (Sr.), said, “I won two of my singles matches before being subbed out.” Both Alyssa Rudin (Jr.) and Celine Gruaz (Sr.) played impressively, sweeping their singles matches and defeating the Los Alamitos’ #1 singles player 6-1. The Trojans’ #1 doubles team of Kayti Luu (Sr.) and Judy Kam (Jr.) also captured a victory in their doubles match.
The UHS girls tennis team’s next match is on Thursday, September 25 against Woodbridge High School.
