Waiting and watching
Through half opened eyes,
That spot in the dark where
They’re yet to arrive.
I’ve seen them before
On nights like tonight.
They crawl through the darkness
And churn up a fright.
But no one believes me.
Nobody cares
For creatures that watch you
From under the stairs,
From bushes in passing,
And then while you sleep.
Into the open
From shadows they’ll creep.
What is it they want?
Well, that’s what I fear.
I just know they’re watching.
The creatures are here.
