On Tuesday, January 13, the girls basketball team played a home league game against Beckman High School (BHS). Despite the Trojans’ teamwork and unrelenting effort, the team lost the game 30-44.
The Trojans had a hard time passing through BHS’s tight defense. Marina Iranmanesh (Jr.) said “Even though we couldn’t hit most of our shots, we stayed strong on defense. We were able to score a lot inside the key, thanks to Kiara. Although we lost, my teammates and I put our hearts and souls onto the court.” UHS currently holds a 0-2 league record, and 10-8 overall record.
The team’s next game is away game against Corona del Mar High School today, Friday, January 16.
