The younger sibling,

Always trying to keep up,

Unable to achieve what the other could do,

Falling short of expectations set by the older one.

Following the other’s footsteps,

For fear of straying from the “right” path.

Tired of being compared and ignored,

While the other is complimented,

Praised for being the

Better

Smarter

One.

The older sibling,

Always trying to stay ahead.

Carving a path for the other,

Unable to expect what is to come.

Tired of being expected to have accomplished

the same things

At the same age.

Tired of being compared and ignored,

While the other is complimented,

Praised for being the

Better

Smarter

One.
