Kylash Chettiar, Staff Writer
Hi, my name is Kylash Chettiar. I am a junior at University High School and a sports writer for the UHS: Sword And Shield. I was first introduced to journalism when I switched into this class as an extra elective; I honestly had no idea I would eventually become a staff writer for the newspaper. Some of my hobbies include gaming, playing chess with friends, and painting landscapes with acrylic. I enjoy the newspaper because sports, my section, allows for so much creativity and allows me to write about various topics that don't always relate to high school sports, especially during the pandemic. My favorite topics are covering national sports ranging from NBA, NHL, MLB, and the NFL. This is my first year as an official writer for the Sword and Shield and I intend to become an editor in my senior year.
