The final quarter was again a defensive quarter for the lady Trojans as they kept Northwood to only three points. This defense was an all around team effort that started with key blocks from center Kaci Blailock (Sr.) and steals from point guard Malia Goldsmith (So.).
University would go on to score 11 points in the fourth quarter. The second half ended with the Trojans scoring 25 and the Timberwolves, five.
Chandler was very impressed with the way the team executed defensively in the second half. “If we use the same effort on defense or close to it in the rest of our games we could become league champs,” she said.
