On Saturday, September 13, the University High School cross country team opened up the season at the Laguna Hills Invitational.
Eric Kawana (Jr.) placed fifteenth in the three mile, Andrea White (Jr.) placed 28th in the three mile, and Sarah Stern (Sr.) placed eighth in her varsity three mile.
Many runners felt more winded due to the high temperatures during the event. Team member Nathaniel Herrera (Sr.) said, “It was really hot, which made us all a bit more tired than usual.”
The cross country team’s next meet is the Woodbridge Invitational on September 19.
